Prohibited, Questionable and Infringing Items
The Teacher’s Attic is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable
site.
It is your responsibility to make sure the item you want to list is
legal and/or appropriate. Please remember that the purpose of this site
is to provide a venue for educators to make purchases for their
classrooms, as well as to sell unwanted educational materials from their
classrooms. Please let common sense prevail when deciding what to list!
We reserve the right to remove any item we feel is inappropriate for
this site. Any action we take will be accompanied by an email
correspondence.

The following list is partial; we will update it as we need to. It is

Firearms/ Weapons: This includes all antique, collectible,
hunting firearms; any kit that can be used to create a firearm; any item
which has the potential to explode, such as fireworks, dynamite, any
illegal weapon, such as switchblades
Government IDs; licenses

Lottery tickets
Mailing lists
Personal information
Pirated software, movies, music: any bootleg or unauthorized
copies of music, music; unlicensed back-up copies (e.g. CD-R, tapes),
academic software (licensed for educational use only), de-scrambling
software
Plants and seeds
Prescription drugs
Real estate
Recalled items
Stocks, bonds, securities
Stolen property
Tobacco
Types of Listings that are prohibited:
- Listings that require buyer to purchase additional items or
services
- Listings that charge excessive and
unusual shipping and handling fees
